About the Africa 2050 Institute

Our Vision is to see a Christ-centred, Spirit-led church effectively engaging the realities of Africa between 2020 and 2050, shaping the continent’s prosperity in ways that reflect God’s shalom.

Who We Are:

The Africa 2050 Institute (A2050i) is a faith-based think tank focused on the future prosperity of Africa. We bring together thought-leaders, networks, and practitioners to ask the hard questions:

  • How can the church engage Africa’s realities between 2020 and 2050?

  • What does prosperity mean in Biblical terms — and how do we measure it?

  • How can the church’s gifts and expertise be deployed for the good of all?

We believe prosperity is more than economics — it is shalom: wholeness, justice, and flourishing in Christ.

Our Mission is to:

Equip the church for Africa’s future by:

  • Interpreting emerging trends and challenges from a Biblical perspective.

  • Facilitating reflection and dialogue among leaders and practitioners.

  • Producing thought leadership and practical tools that inform the church’s response.
